*received for free from netgalley for honest review* so, i used my points to get this book on bookishfirst, uh, first, and ended up received the audio from netgalley. i bumped this book up to a 4 (though its a 3.5) because though it was somewhere in between a historical fiction and a mystery, the audio was pretty good and the print copy i got from bookishfirst came with a bunch of cool little trinket things.

This book was still a good read since the characters were interesting and not annoying, i do wish there was more mystery in this or like just that it was handled differently? parts of it were odd but i still liked it.

I'd almost prefer the book to be longer with more details and such and it would be a better read, it got boring at parts so i found myself taking breaks from reading after only an hour or so, but it wasn't like putting me to sleep lol.
