This WWII-set mystery isn't something I'd typically pick up, but as I kept reading the plot was interesting enough for me to keep going. I realized while reading this how interesting WWII was as an era, in terms of the social, political, cultural and economic changes occurring in the world before and after the historical event, and I think this was tied really neatly into the story as the mystery unfolded and the protagonist was faced with various challenges. I'd also like to mention that I liked the protagonist! She was really interesting to read in the perspective of, and I love reading from the eyes of young women in historical fiction, so I knew I would love it. The story itself is really interesting. I don't know if I was the only one who felt the mystery was a little predictable, but it had it's twists and kept me turning the pages so I would hardly compain. Great read for mystery and historical fiction lovers. Also kinda reminds me of Enola Holmes :))
