The book description was interesting enough, but after a few pages I knew it wasn't going to be to my taste..
...I do find it a bit amusing that the author, who's American, is writing using British spellings. Not the terminology, but specifically the spelling of words like "realise" and "colour." It gives the impression that the author is trying to pass herself off as British.
