To be fair I typically do not read books like this and am therefore not the target audience. Even though I enjoy light reads, I like there to be at least a little meat to the bones or plot lines beyond discussing how the heart went "kerthunk."

The writing was probably perfect for this genre, but I prefer stories that have more character development prior to getting into their romantic entaglements. Otherwise, the characters can come off as a little juvenile or one-dimensional to me.

For the preview we had fewer than 10 pages to read so it's possible that I just didn't see enough of the story to get drawn in and that the millionaire playboy and "not amazing at first, but amazing once you know her" trope of a female develop a stronger bond as the story develops.
