This is an office romance that dealt with trying to have a relationship when you have lost a spouse. Jack Grant, the boss, was a strong and commanding man. He was known for his skills outside of the boardroom. Gemma was his "assistant" according to Jack. She had seen Jack naked on multiple occasions, but knew better than to ever cross that line into something more personal. She would have to be crazy to do that.
It was great to see Jack grow throughout this story. He had suffered so much loss and didn't know how to have a functioning relationship. So, he just wanted the benefits. That is until he had a taste of what being with Gemma was like. Gemma didn't want to be just "one of his women", but could Jack ever want more?
