This was such a fun read. It had all the elements of YA fiction that I enjoy: likable characters, an engaging plot and a healthy dose of young love.
Now That I’ve Found You follows Evie Jones - once rising star, now a social pariah- as she searches NYC for her missing grandma. With the help of cute guitar player Milo and his band mates, Evie comes face to face which what it means to be a friend, trust others, and forgive even your worst enemy.
The story is light hearted and sweet, but it also has its moments of gravity as Evie faces betrayal, lost friendships and the hard task of finding her value.
As a side note, this book takes place in the summer of 2020. Reading it was bittersweet as I found myself missing crowded restaurants and concert venues. It was nice to escape for a time and settle into an alternate 2020 where people could be together.
