Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down! It was super cute, engaging, and it had me laughing and crying at different parts in the story. I thought the overall plot to the story was intriguing when I read the blurb and just had to know what happened to Gigi and why she would disappear before receiving her award. I loved the growth of the main character, Evie, as she deals with her own struggles of being blacklisted in Hollywood. The betrayal that she felt and her struggle to open up to others and make new friends was heartbreaking and understandable. Milo is this mysterious boy who has somehow managed to befriend the reclusive Gigi, and even lives with her. Something Evie is super suspicious of. The writing was excellent and flowed in a very natural way. I can't wait to read other books by this author.
