Now That I’ve Found You by Kristina Forest was really fun. After being blacklisted from Hollywood, Evie Jones needs to find a way to appear publicly with her reclusive grandmother Evelyn Conway who also happens to be America’s most beloved actresses. What ensues is a wild manhunt and, as described in the synopsis, a true love letter to NYC. If you’ve ever been there you’ll understand the glittering setting that can change you’re view on the world.
The hunt for Evie’s grandmother, along with Milo, was a fun trip through the city and changed who Evie was for the better. We get a view of just how ruthless the film industry is and how the main character navigates it, but clearly fails as she’s been blacklisted.
I did find Evie to be a bit selfish but she grew on me as I got to know her. I can’t wait to read the next book by Kristina Forest, hopefully something in the same type of setting!
