Evie Jones is an interesting character, in the beginning, she is self-absorbed, and almost written like a popular girl from a fanfiction story. However, after her fall from fame and glory, she takes some time to find herself. She does not realize that she's become a better person until she already is. Her hopes and dreams are crushed by a mistake she made as a teenager, which helps show how detrimental each and every one of our choices really are. Her character arc is that of rival Chuck Bass (Gossip Girl), Kylo Ren (Star Wars), or Zuko (Avatar: the Last Airbender). The reader really gets to see her true heart as her grandmother goes missing, the young Evie realizes that there is so much more the life than movies, popularity, and adoring fans, but instead, the relationships she has with her friends and family will mean so much more to her than fans ever could.
