Looking for a happy weekend read? One of my favorite books this year so far was Now That I've Found You by Kristina Forest! This is a YA novel about two teens going on adventures in NYC. Evie is on the cusp of superstardom when a viral video halts all of her plans. I loved how Kristina's writing immediately draws you in after Evie's video goes viral. The author perfectly captures the despair and embarrassment that Evie feels. She goes to stay with her former actress grandmother in NYC and everything starts to unravel once she gets there. With the help of Milo, a super cute love interest with big dreams of his own, Evie is determined to track down her recluse grandma and save her own career. This book just made me smile and long for the days when you could just jump on the subway and gallivant around town. It has a fun mystery storyline that isn't too high stakes or suspenseful but will still keep you reading. Fans of Julie Murphy and Brandy Colbert will love this book!
