This is a YA contemporary romance following Evie, a scorned up and coming actress. Evie has just been betrayed by her best friend, who has now stolen her acting roll from her. She becomes very distraught and withdrawn and decides to set off to New York to spend time with her once famous, now recluse, grandmother. She is looking forward to spending quality time with her grandmother, but finds out there is a teenage boy, Milo, living with her. They do not get off on the right foot and things become even more complicated when her grandmother disappears. She takes on the task of hunting down her grandmother with Milo so that she can find her in time to save her own career.
This was super cute, I just wasn't the target audience. But to a younger teen, this story could be everything. We especially learn what it's like to be selfish and how to grow as a person. For majority of the book, Evie bugged me because she was extremely selfish, but in hindsight, it was a great way for the author to show growth. I truly believe that this is a great story for a younger teen. The romance was also very cute.
