I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, as this is a genre I don't read very often, but it was a fun read! I read the excerpt and was instantly hooked. I read the book in one sitting, and I honestly wished there was a second book coming out.
It was really well-written and fast-paced. it follows the perspective of Evie, a young girl trying to salvage her acting career after her ex-friend Simone posted a video of her. She goes to her grandma, a well-known but retired actress, in the hopes that she can save her career.
I loved the relationship between Milo and Evie. They were so cute together and had such good chemistry, I rooted for them the entire time. I also really enjoyed the flashbacks of the grandparents, and found their story and relationships to be really interesting.
The only thing I wasn't a fan of, was the ending with Simone. I understand what the author was doing with her character, but found that their reunion didn't feel realistic and that it didn't really go with how their relationship stood. Other than that, it was an all around fun and light read and I am so glad that I was given the chance to read it.
