I admit, I picked up this book because I might be a liiiittle obsessed with the cover. (I mean, just look at it! It's so cute.) I'm sure glad I did though—the cuteness of the story definitely matched the cuteness of the cover. :)

Everything about this book was just right up my alley. The unique characters, the movie star glamor, the New York setting; it all came together so well. The story was a bit predictable, yes, but in a comforting way, with Evie's arc, the bit of mystery, and the interactions with the band all blended really nicely. Although Evie was a little hard to sympathize with sometimes, as she was very focused on herself and her own needs and problems, I do appreciate her growth over the course of the book. And Milo was so sweet; his own ambition and his endless patience made him such a great match for Evie. (And he's a musician! What more could you ask for? :D)

Gigi was a great character as well; I loved her relationship with Evie, and the James storyline was so intriguing. (I personally am living for the whole concept around the classic movie Gigi and James starred in.) I wish we'd gotten more of Gigi! And I do think that the book could have gone a little deeper with exploring her and Evie, but overall, this was so cute and fun, and the ending was perfect. Highly recommend for a breezy, lighthearted read!
