1. I like the backstory of the grandma and grandpa it makes me think of TCM/old Hollywood which we don’t see a lot of in black young adult books.
2. I like seeing all these black people – Evelyn, her agent, and her friend
3. Evelyn being successful and a child-ish star – like it.
4. The beef between Gigi and the grandad is going to be so juicy.
5. Simone is going to betray her and it is going to be a bummer but also eye opening. I like that Evie Marie has a friend who is flawed.

A. Why do you need to record me doing anything questionable? Or even record something that should between me and you? Why do you need to record that moment- the impression? In 2020 with social media and the internet being huge? There are way too many people waiting on you to do something so they can post it and embarrass or harm you in some way (its really creepy if you think on it too hard).
B. How long did Simone plan this? She got Evelyn drunk on purpose? It is so convenient that she is the replacement of Evelyn. So convenient.
C. Evelyn had to learn this lesson early about the backstabbing of Hollywood (I don’t like it at all it sucks that she got betrayed).
Chapter 2
7. I feel a lot of negative things about Everlyn parents.
8. Social media- I knew that just as much love as she was able to get in the beginning (actually surprised negative did not come before she is a young black girl) that it could/would turn easily sour.
A. One of the scary things about social media is that something that is a joke/not a big deal becomes bigger than what it is. That is the issue with overly sharing and making something that should private public.
B. Another scary thing is people are quick to turn things ugly (I understand why it was taken the way it was because it was kind of bad) and one mistake can mess up the rest of your career. Evelyn made one misguided ( well not misguided for Simone ) mistake and she does not get the chance to grow from it.
C. I like the inclusion of social media and all of it so far is realistic to how it works
