This book has an intriguing set-up, introducing us to a young woman whose acting career has just started, but is taken away just as quickly (and just happens to be the granddaughter of a famous but reclusive actress). I wish the excerpt showed more of the mystery because the excerpt didn't quite grab my interest (the backstabbing friendship upset me), but there are quite a few interesting things in the synopsis. Like the grandmother disappearing. Now, that makes me curious. I think I might look into this book when it comes out!
