This book is instantly engaging. The writing pulls you right in and I can absolutely empathize with Evie. The mystery around Evelyn's past left me curious and wanting to learn more. What will Evie find out about her grandmother? And how is she going to repair her image and fledgling career?
The cover hints at a romance coming, but it doesn't really make the book stand out. I don't get any sense of the Hollywood ties or the mystery surrounding Evelyn and her disappearance, which are some of the most compelling parts of the description and "First Look."
