I won an advanced copy of this book from BookishFirst. Overall, it was an enjoyable read. The story dragged on a bit at times, and was also a bit unclear sometimes. I enjoyed reading from several characters' perspectives and comparing events in the book with events in the animated Disney film. There were several instances where the author seemed to poke fun at the film. One included a squire suggesting that the sheriff hold an archery contest to lure Robin Hood out of hiding. Everyone else promptly told the squire that was the craziest idea they had ever heard and kicked him out of their meeting. I sort of wish the book had told what happened to Much's parents and also what ended up happening to Gilbert. Overall, a good read.
