Recently, books re-writing classical myths have seemed to blow up the fiction landscape. This book seems to follow a little bit of that formula but instead of focusing on a Greek/Roman myth, it goes Medieval on us. From my first impression I am cautiously optimistic about this book on the whole. There is always a chance when an author takes on a pre-established story that they lose what makes the original a classic and I can only hope that this book does not fall into that trap.
