I love Minerva Spencer's style. She writes witty banter with precision, creating a perfect blend of animosity & desire. Drusilla is a delightful wallflower in the classic style. Witty, engaging, beautiful and yet unaware of her own attributes. Gabriel appears the standard rake and yet even in this first look, you can see that there is more beneath the surface. The sibling relationship between Gabe and Eva is just as engaging. The surprising ease of their relationship when only a few years of attachment is a joy to read. The pet names, the gentle taunting is exactly the love language I am most drawn to. From first glance, you could easily pick up the romantic undercurrent between Gabe & Drusilla. Promising to be as full of heat as their initial banter suggests.
I am eager to read the remainder of this story as I have enjoyed all of Miss. Spencer's books that I have read. This series promises to be compelling and delightful.
