Where do I begin? I have a certain affinity for historical romance, specifically of the bodice ripping variety so when this book became available through Bookish First, I knew I had to win it.
Minerva Spencer does not let you down. The characters are engaging, even if we don’t see their whole hand and they’re enjoyable. Dru is very tightly wound and it was delightful to see her come undone during her relationship with Gabriel.
The action in the storyline was very drawn from real history and like how she intermingled the relationship between England and the Middle Eastern world. It’s a part of history that I’m not as familiar with and it was enlightening.
Plus the sex. Wow. All sensual curves, ripping bodices and rigid cocks up in this book. Excellent read. I can’t wait to see what happens in Outrageous, the next book in this new Rebels of the Ton series!
