I am a huge fan of the Bridgerton so when I saw this series I was excited to give it a try- a little irreverent regency romance that I am all for!
I love when characters, especially women, don’t conform to the rules and expectations of the era they are in- like Drucilla in this book wanting to be an independent woman and not depend on a husband to tell her what she can and cannot do. She definitely had better aspirations than to sitar hime and wait on her husband to say “jump!”
I could feel the attraction between our main characters and thought their solutions to the rules society was enforcing upon them was clever and fun. Witty banter always wins me over and this book definitely has that!
With side characters that will surely make the sequels equally entertaining, a fun couple to start everything off, and the rebellion against the times, this was a winner.
