I was so excited to win a copy of this book! The author writes amazing books and this is no exception. The characters were very unique and relatable. They made the story interesting to read and fun. The emotional depth is beautiful and the book makes you emotional throughout. The storytelling abilities of Spencer is amazing. I feel like it definitely lacked in the romance aspect which I was expecting from it. However it made up for it in other ways. The couple definitely had a lack of communication. This characters were a little disjointed with each other. The writing was a little scattered in places. However, it was a great book to read and I really enjoyed it. I also loved the diversity and bringing in a main character of a different ethnicity. This makes the book stand out from others of its kind. I hope there are more books in the aeries to read!
