I just finished reading No Less Days and overall, I thought it was a pretty good read.

Spoilers Follow:

Pros:
1) Very interesting concept. The concept of living forever due to a doctor's medical intervention, but still being fully human is a concept I have not previously heard.
2) The integration of science and religion was an interesting concept as well.
3) The characters were multidimensional with strengths and weaknesses.
4) I liked the Q&A built into the back of the book. The Q&A was good for evaluating your own feelings about the book and it would be good for a book club discussion.

Cons:
1) The pacing was not consistent for me. The story would seem to lag a bit in the middle and in my opinion, attempted to pull together or not pull together too many loose ends in a really quick amount of time.
2) I feel like a few characters and plot points were developed quite a bit and some were hardly explored (e.g. Simon and the love of music are a few examples of things minimally explored). I think I would have enjoyed this book slightly more if it were more balanced or more focused.

Overall, I give the book a 5 for a unique concept (particularly for Christian literature), a 3 for pacing, and along with other considerations such as how well it's written, I give it a 4.

I received a free ARC, but was only asked to provide an honest review.
