Interesting premise, however, this first look starts off very slow. Or maybe the writing style wasn't my thing. Not sure. All I know is that it didn't grab me. David already sounds like the typical immortal that is always portrayed, one who hates his immortality, wishes he could die like normal people, one who tries not to make close relationships with the "humans". Just once I'd like to read a book about a immortal that is a good guy and LOVES being immortal.
