Honestly, this book had me at women with magic and it only got better from there! I don't give a five star review to books very often, since I think it's really hard to have a "perfect" story. But this was 100% a five star read for me. The three young Nightbirds are witty, fierce, powerful, and not taking any of your bullshit thank-you-very-much. Their blossoming friendship and sisterhood was really cool to see, on top of their relationships with the other characters. The magic and polutics in this world are very well thought out too, which I appreciate.
I'm so glad this is just book one of a series, because I really want to read more about the Nightbirds' adventures together!
