I love self-help and support books, so I was excited to finally dig into this book.
First, I love the writing style. It’s easy to read, connect with, and understand. I grew up in a military setting and could relate to so much of what was said and unsaid.
Secondly, I am drawn to stories, and people in general, with experiences of war or other types of harrowing difficulties in their real life. Don’t ask why, I just am. I love seeing people overcome adversity and come out stronger because of it. This self-help type of memoir is powerful, engrossing, and rewarding. I feel stronger from reading it. I’m happy the author wrote of his experiences and how he helps others live a life of excellence from his insight.
We can all learn so much from each other and don't have to experience the same experiences (thank goodness) to gain from them. This is an inspiring and lifting book!
