To say that this book was out of my comfort zone would be an understatement. I was first intrigued by this book how I am by most books I end up purchasing or reading - by how the cover looks. Not an exact science, but it’s never proved me wrong. I loved the blue hues in this cover and how interesting it looked. As soon as I’d seen it, it reminded me of Cinderella or something of the sort, because at a quick first glance of the front cover, all I saw was blue and crowns. I really loved the writing style of this book. This isn’t my typical preferred genre to begin with, so I was scared that when I started it, it would end up in a DNF pile along with other books that just didn’t work. The plot was engaging the whole time, but the authors writing style really is what made this reading experience so enjoyable. It didn’t even feel like work to read this book, and I looked forward to turning every page.
