Thanks BookishFirst for my copy! To be honest I loved reaching a YA/ children’s fantasy. Brought me back to my middle school days. This is a fun, lighthearted twist on the classic fairy tales.
The characters were well developed and I enjoyed the extremely quick pace of the story. Left me wanting to find out what was going to happen in the next. It was interesting how Melissa de la Cruz meshed all of the traditional fairy tales into a never after world with each of the stories slightly changing.
I’m not sure as a 10 year old I would understand every word used but I think a 7th grader or middle schooler would definitely enjoy this book. I may even buy myself the second book in the series!
