This was an easy and fun read. I enjoyed the characters, specially Jack and Alistair, I was not too crazy about Filomena though and I did figure out who she was right away, so a bit predictable in that regard. The villains/bullies were a bit silly but what really annoyed me was what Filomena called them, the "Alfredos" and noodles and many pasta names that I found silly because of the repetition. There were quite a few adventures and battles and the story did have some action so it was quite entertaining an made the story a fast read to me. Totally enjoyed reading about all of those childhood stories and seeing how the author changed the stories and made them different and fun.
I would totally recommend this book if you are in the mood to read some fluff as I call it, just some fun story that doesn't make you think too much if you know what I mean.
