By far this was one of the best books I could have picked to read with my niece.
I was Filomena when I was younger. Waiting for books to be released was both pure torture and I know the disappointing feeling a waiting for a newly released book and only not getting it!
The Never After book series has to be Filomena's favorite series ever, or at least currently. She is so excited for the 13th book to be released! However, the poor 12 year old is crushed when she finds out the 13th book is not released.
It turns out the author had died and left the manuscripts for the first 12, but no one has been able to find the 13th one.
This is where the fun starts. Characters from the Never After book start to appear in Filomena's world and her adventure begins.
I really loved how De La Cruz brought some of my favorite fairytales into the story in a new way. While some of it reminded me of Land of Stories, it still was a great read.
My nieces are 11 and 8 and both of them loved this book
