The cutest nursery rhyme opening line did not prepare me for the dead fairy in the next. I loved the prologue, but the sudden jump into Filomena's POV feels a little chaotic. I do love retellings and especially love the fact that Never Ever has BIPOC rep. I'm not sure how I feel about the book based on the First Look, but the premise is interesting so it'll be interesting to see how the rest of the story plays out.
