Filomena is a cleverly written character that is relatable. She is partly British, and Korean-Filipino (which is awesome because I am Filipino-Vietnamese), and it's true that when you have western-asian blood people can't help themselves but ask, "Are you asian or are you white?". I would love to see if the book would open or discuss more mixed-race issues to the readers! I truly love how this book is jampacked with multicultural characters and fairies, as I am someone who loves fairytales and fantasy!
