Not bad. . . but not great either?

Not entirely positive why I read this book. I found it free online, maybe? It was actually pretty good, although I felt like there was a bit too much emphasis on Greer's dissatisfaction with her body. I mean, I know that was the point of the book, but still. . . I guess it was a bit too angsty for my likings is all. If people feel insecure about how they look, they usually don't spend all their free time worry about it, from what I've observed. And despite how much it obviously affects Greer's daily life, I felt like it was a bit over-emphasized. I don't know. Maybe I'm just not as insecure as Greer is.

Other than the obvious, um, theme, this book was actually pretty clean, as far as YA books go, and the characters were great. They were realistic and quite likeable. So despite my issues with the emphasis on Greer's insecurity, I think it was a pretty good book overall. Still not sure why I started reading it, but I don't regret it.
