I read the first look for this book on BookishFirst and was so excited to win a copy of it! The first look was amazing and I thought this was going to be such a cute and fun book. It left a lot to be desired though and I was slightly disappointed. The story itself was a little boring with not much happening and I know this book is about how uncomfortable Greer is with the size of her breasts, but that was literally the only thing talked about in the book and it became very repetitive. I did, however, really enjoy the ending and that kind of made the whole book a little bit better.

Something I loved about this story was how realistic it is for teenagers in high school. There are such unrealistic body expectations due to magazines and celebrities that most kids in high school have negative outlooks on their bodies. Everyone has self-confidence issues (myself included) and I think it’s important that this was highlighted in the novel. I also liked that the author gave Greer several different ways to find her own self-worth, despite all of the struggles.

The characters were funny and we get to see them learn and grow throughout the novel, especially Greer, our main character. She started out as a shy girl with no confidence and morphs into someone who is confident in herself and learns to accept her body for what it is.

I liked that this novel attempted to tackle such a tough issue for teenagers these days, and did so in a fun and witty way. I definitely found myself laughing out loud at times. I do, however, wish it was a little bit more interesting and had more to it.

Thank you to Dutton Books and BookishFirst for a finished copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
