This cover fits in very well with the new YA trend of doing animation type covers as well as putting the main character on the front. At first the author makes the reader think that Greer is left out because of the fact that her mother drags her to these relocation meeting or because of her name. I love that it takes until chapter to point out the real reason. This allows the reader to connect with Greer and her feelings especially about Jackson before knowing her physical appearance. At first, her freaking out about him talking to her about something other than the spiel she has heard time and time again seems like it is just a product of low self esteem. This is another way for the reader to connect with Greer before the true reason is revealed.
