Jane Tennison has a new fan
Jane Tennison has a new fan. Why had I not discovered this series before now?
Although at times some of the descriptions made me cringe at my own clothing choices in the 1970s, I enjoyed being recalled to that era.
Although the murders and cases being investigated were well written and interesting, I was more fascinated by the characters and their interactions. Although female officers still struggle with acceptance today, Jane's struggles as she rises in the ranks are evident at this earlier time of the 1970s.
A solid police procedural novel, this seems to be a series I need to spend more time with although reading this as a stand alone was not a problem.
Thank you to Bookish for my copy.
