This was a new author to me and my introduction to Detective Sergeant Jane Tennison. As a new member of the Peckham CID, Jane becomes the lead investigator in two horrible crimes committed in what the press calls the “Murder Mile”. When a third murder occurs, the public is certain a serial killer is in the loose. With little connecting the victims except where the bodies are dumped, will Jane be able to solve the crimes and find the killer? This is the fourth book with Jane Tennison as the main character and while it can be read as a stand alone there were some back stories that were part of previous books. This did not affect my understanding or enjoyment of this book. I enjoyed the book!
