This is my very first experience with Jane Tennison from Lynda La Plante and I am glad that I could read it as a standalone: the synopsis caught my attention and this book was thrilling, just I has suspected. I love detective-murder plots and Murder Mile talks about a serial murders set in the 80's scenario. When you are in 1979, there is no technologies such as DNA testing or even pictures taken in cellphones, still Lynda La Plante gives us a novel full of light-read mystery. I enjoyed the pace of this book and the hard-work investigation elements. In addition, The main character is interesting and challenging since there were almost no women working in the male-dominated field (or even in that period of time). Overall, this is a book that keeps you guessing and I am excited to hear more about Jane Tennison.
