This is my first time reading author Spencer Quinn and he did not disappoint. His story Mrs. Plansky's Revenge is about a senior citizen who gets scammed and how she takes down her scammer. It is told from two points of view, Mrs. Plansky and the criminal that stole her money. The main character Loretta Plansky is settling into retirement in Florida and stays active playing tennis, so she is still very sharp. So one night she is woke by a phone call from someone claiming to be her grandson Will, who says needs ten thousand dollars to get out of a jam. Of course, being the loving grandma she is, she jumps to help. In the morning she finds she has lost everything. Scammed. The story then follows her on a crazy adventure to a small village in Romania to get her money. I found the story very funny and it really hit all the right notes for me. It has an interesting plot, likable characters, and full of intelligent wit.
