I found this book at my local library without hearing much about it previously. After reading the synopsis, I knew that the scientific part of me would probably enjoy it ... and boy was I right! Mother Knows Best tells the story of a child who is genetically engineered from three donor parents. Things seem to be going well, until the assistant who worked on the case decides that she wants to play a role in the child's life. Many twists and turns along the way intertwining with moral dilemmas - should children be genetically modified? Is a child from 3 parents OK? The book culminates in an exciting ending that I definitely was not expecting from the onset of the book. Would recommend if you enjoy science!
