I read this book at the beginning of the year and I am STILL thinking about it. It is easily one of my favorite books that I read in 2019. The story is incredibly timely, yet super unique. I enjoyed how the author developed the characters. Though each character had their flaws, I was cheering each of them on by the end. I loved their individual personalities and how they complemented each other too. I enjoyed the author’s meticulous attention to scientific detail; she clearly did her research but she wrote it in a way that anyone can understand. The idea of a 3-parent baby is baffling but it totally worked. Though this was a work of fiction, it read like a true story - who knows, maybe this will actually be close to a true story one day!
