Someone lurking from the past may destroy the future

What an awesome first read of this book! The mother is portrayed as neurotic and paranoid. The father, Michael, is stern and at times harsh. The daughter, Abby, seems to be the normal one, filled with curiosity about why her family consists of only her parents. After a DNA test at school, when Abby discovers a long-long cousin, the family bonds seem to be disintegrating. Mom falls farther into the abyss of her phobias and dad seems determined to control things as much as possible. Abby still wants to meet family members but has been thwarted by her father. The reader is left to wonder what is really going on here...why is mom so afraid and of what or of whom? What is the secret that this family is hiding from? I truly want to know the whole story, as any reader would! Impressive first few pages...hook, line and sinker...I’m in!
