I just want to say that I find this plot to be very original. I was hooked from the very beginning reading about the interaction between Claire and her daughter. The suspense of what the "surprise" was that Abby had planned for her parents and the reality of the past resurfacing and threatening to destroy everything Claire holds dear was so we'll written I think I actually held my breath while reading that scene.
The cover needs to be mentioned as well because I wasn't sure why a red braid. It serves as another way to connect Abby and J. Very nice cover indeed.
