Edge of your seat psychological and scientific thriller

My first impressions of the book is that it starts out very traumatically with what is the worst fear of any parent, losing a child. After the loss, rules and laws seem very unimportant when wanting to have a child and erase the constant pain of being childless. I want to know what happens with all these characters and how the story resolves itself. The cover of the of the book looks simple but looks can be deceiving.
