Like, the writing is ok enough, I guess. But I knew going in, based on the plot synopsis as well as the author bio that this would not be for me. The world truly does not need another white savior narrative, written by a white dude, about immigration from the freaking perspective of agents of imperialism and oppression. No we do not.
