As soon as I read the summary, I knew I had to give the excerpt a try. The preview sets up the story quite well - I'm curious to learn more about Mister Tender as well as how it affected Alice's life and family over the past years. I especially like the way in which Carter structures his chapters. They're short yet to the point and utterly captivating. I'll definitely be looking more into this!
