Thank you to BookishFirst, Revell Fiction, and Valerie Fraser Luesse for a copy of Missing Isaac in exchange for an honest review. All I can say is - Wow! I loved this book from beginning to end. It tells the story of Pete who grows up in the Deep South in the 1960s and his friendship with Isaac, a field worker on his family's farm - and what happens when Isaac goes missing. The characters were relatable and multifaceted and I became quickly engrossed in their stories. It is a story about how love and honor can overcome bigotry and hate, and gives some insight into how things were in the 1960s. I was drawn in from the initial excerpt of the book and I have to say that the rest of the book did not disappoint - I could not put it down! I highly recommend Missing Isaac and I cannot wait to read future books from this author.
