The magic of Wicklow, Alabama

Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe is such a great story! I only wish I could give it more than 5 stars because I feel it deserves so much more. One thing that I really liked about it was that it had a touch of magical realism to the storyline that I thought made it a fun read. It’s a story that takes place in Wicklow, Alabama, which is a small town with a lot of southern charm. The characters are all fun loving, friendly people with their own unique personalities. I would love to live in a town like this with these people for my friends and neighbors. The storyline is filled with little tidbits of life lessons and quirky little sayings. It’s a story of family, learning to forgive, and finding where you belong, finding home. Reading this made me feel happy. I think this book is a real treasure and I’m thankful to BookishFirst for sending me a copy. Although this was my first time reading a book by author Heather Webber, it most definitely will not be the last.
