Southern charm with a touch of magic!
I am really enjoying these books about little southern towns that have a touch of magic! The magic is usually not too prevalent, but it is needed to draw in the main character, this time it is Anna Kate, to figure out what she wants and whether or not to stay in the town of Wicklow.
These southern books are always about finding out where you belong and how good friends and family are so important. Anna Kate comes to the town of Wicklow for her Grandma's funeral and to sell the cafe that Granny Zee used to run. But this is a special cafe, with very special pies that only certain people can make properly, Anna Kate being one of them. It is a fun ride of a story with lots of interesting characters and it has a sweet ending.
I would love to be able to try a piece of one of those blackbird pies!
