Anna Kate was summoned to Wicklow, Alabama by her grandmother Zee’s sudden death. She’s never visited her mother’s hometown, because when Eden left 25 years ago—accused of killing her boyfriend—she vowed never to return.

Although Anna Kate plans to stay only the required 60 days so she can inherit Zee’s estate, she finds herself falling in love with the town, and with her attorney. And to her surprise, she finds she may be able to forgive her father’s family.

Reminiscent of the work of Sarah Addison Allen, this novel is completely absorbing, impossible to put down. All the primary characters grow and mature—even the elderly ones. I suspect Wicklow is fictional, which is sad, because I’d love to visit.
